The Straight And Narrow Way
The trees are simply beautiful here in North Central Texas now. This view is out the bay window of our dining room — or would be if our dining room were in West Texas and specifically within Devil’s Hall in Guadalupe Mts. NP. This is a common scene exiting the Hall in early November. At 4.5 miles roundtrip, Devil’s Hall is my favorite short hike in the park. It’s gorgeous any time but often spectacular with color in autumn and —unlike North Central Texas — has the mountains to further enhance the beauty of the foliage.
